Original Ski Condo Orignal Ski Condo Picture 2

Built in the late 1960s by ski instructors during the off-season, the original house was in dire need of some immediate attention. The original design and construction were less than stellar and the years since had not been kind to the building. The structure was suspect at best, black mold had invaded the attic and possibly elsewhere, and from a design and functional perpective, it needed the help of an architect.

When the house was stripped down for renovation and its poor condition became apparent, it was decided that an architect was needed. Subsequently, the house was demolished down to the first floor deck and work began on replacing the existing house with a new one that took advantage of what the site had to offer. With the new design, it was essential to maximize the use of the space available while keeping the floor plan as open as possible. The addition of the deck and the large east-facing windows allowed the stunning views and natural light be utilized and enjoyed to the fullest. Rustic details and an appropriate color scheme completed this cabin which would easily be at home in any Adirondack setting.
